A comprehensive overview of California Agricultural Commissioner and Sealer of Weights & Measures programs was presented at a recent Brown Bag Lunch presentation hosted by the California Department of Pesticide Regulations (CDPR). Click here to access the video. William R. Griffin, Supervising Ag/Standards Specialist, Madera County Dept. of Agriculture, provided the details and insights on how each county Agricultural Commissioner partners with CDPR to enforce pesticide rules and regulations, including inspections for safety and compliance and investigations.
CDPR Director Brian R. Leahy launched the Brown Bag lunch series in 2012 to educate the public about projects that showcase the department’s mission: Protecting human health and the environment by regulating pesticide sales and use; and encouraging reduced-risk pest management through research, grants and recognition.
