Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights & Measures (Administrative Manager II)
The County of Orange is recruiting for an Agricultural
Commissioner/Sealer to plan, direct, manage, and oversee the overall
activities and operations of the OC Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of
Weights and Measures Office. This position is appointed by the Board of
Supervisors to a four-year term and reports to the Deputy Director of OC
Environmental Resources.
The Commissioner/Sealer has the responsibility of enforcing statemandated agricultural services, pesticide use regulations, weights and
measures standards, implementing integrated pest management
programs, and ensuring wildfire protection through weed abatement
services throughout the County. The Commissioner/Sealer leads a
technical and experienced team of 57 staff members; supports the
Mission of the County and its elected and appointed officials; provides
courteous and timely service to the public; and works cooperatively with
other County Departments.
