Description

Under direction of a Deputy Agricultural Commissioner, the Supervising Agricultural Inspector/Biologist plans, organizes, supervises, and participates in agricultural inspection, investigation, and certification functions pursuant to the enforcement of the California Food and Agricultural Code, California Code of Regulations, Business and Professions Code, Health and Safety Code, Labor Code, and Ventura County Ordinances, all of which govern the work of the County Agricultural Commissioner's Office. This individual will perform other related duties as required.

In addition to a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the role of the Agricultural Commissioner's Office, the ideal candidate will possess a current license as Deputy Agricultural Commissioner; have supervisory experience; be bilingual with English - Spanish translation skills; possess a balanced, mission-driven, customer service, orientation in the application of agricultural laws and codes; and, lead, model and promote teamwork within the department.
